  1. You can start by completing a safety-induction course at a recognised college – this will allow you to obtain a special card called the “white-card” that will allow you to work on sites and be able to gain the relevant experience for the house building.
  2. You should also consider going for a convenient degree course- it will help you to gain relevant administrative skills such as product-cost-estimation, finance management schedule, and labour-management, among other skills. An example of such a course is Diploma in Building/Construction.
  3. After involving in these studies, you can now focus on gaining experience in house building – this is achieved through being an apprentice. It is a requirement by states that you must have 2-7 years of working experience under a licensed and approved builder to be registered as a builder.
  4. Another important thing to note is that you should acquire a state-specific warrant– These will enable you to oversee several house building projects. Any housebuilder is required to have a license from the ruling body of the state where they work. You must have enough details of the state that you wish to apply for the license before you commence on the application.
